History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He found a children's book about a Human Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Manfred lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Layabout and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to get laid

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Engraver who has hired him part-time. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He was born in the west. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He is content; and money/treasure
