However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Odo was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Stableman. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
