History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Gerard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gerard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he desires power and/or immortality
