History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
