Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Balimaar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Balimaar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Cory embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Description: He wears professional attire, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'7" when asserting himself. His hair, while still mostly golden, has prominent grey streaks. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Gifted from a young age, Ralf studied abroad. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Ralf and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Human compassion.

Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he wears light armors faded through time and improper care. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His fierce brown eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Reynard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: He is a pot bellied southern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His silver hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. The war was a terrible time for him, and Heward does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and wants to work out more often
