Personality: Dean hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. He has all his life been fascinated with singing.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is a great chef.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hubert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Human compassion; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
