One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Roland took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up rapier and armor he uses now. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barrister they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Dilettante, and he later adopted a second son.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He got into the Barkeep business at a young age. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
