Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His blonde hair has been sun bleached extensively. He has brown eyes and a grey hat with a black feather.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Aldous was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Aldous's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and wants to raise his children well

Description: He tends to wear a large brown jacket. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his lance, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. His hair is blonde and curly. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.
History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Gerald was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to prove his worth to the world

Description: He wears a pastel coat over a black low-cut shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat upon his head. He carries a battered sai and tarnished bastard sword as well. His hair is red, silky, and of moderate length. His half smiles and hazel eyes are beguiling and draw you in.
Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he is wearing a long, violet cloak. He has wavy blonde hair. His amber unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.
History: He comes from a rich southern family. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. During his travels, Shane and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Shane discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Shane fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His brown hair has been sun bleached extensively. His violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.
Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.
History: The child of a Sailor, who enjoyed hunting, Anselm was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Tanner and was forced into it by his family.
