He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rolf was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rolf was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Dyer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
