History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Hugh was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Hugh's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to be a painter again
