Description: This malnourished man typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep white leather and dull green iron scale mail. His hair is brown, silky, and of moderate length. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He plays an instrument quite well.
History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears a black shirt with thin blue vertical stripes and yellow pants. He keeps his chestnut hair in a flapper bob. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his amber eyes.
Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is obsessed with finding treasure.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Description: He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized black coat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'4" when asserting himself. He sports a long blonde beard, and similarly colored long hair. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep brown.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Bookbinder profession.
History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Detective arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He now mingles about in high society.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and sabotage a competitor

Description: This younger middle-aged man wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition, and a wedding ring on his right hand. His hair is blonde, silky, and of moderate length. His eyes are blue and catlike.
Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.
History: Reynard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warlock, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warlock in service of a powerful lord somewhere. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature axe.
Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Born in the east to a Ruler, Norman learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting orcs, the young Norman began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and retire the richest man in the east
