History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Map Maker. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Adelard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and balancing his hectic life and new cook responsibilities is difficult
