He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Alexandre was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Alexandre and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
