It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He is a Maurezhi in disguise. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He found a children's book about a Human Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is unsatisfied with his job
