History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He found a children's book about a Human Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
