Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with painting. He constantly tries to fill his life with painting. Gilbert is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shoemaker. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gilbert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and balancing his hectic life and new shoemaker responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is greedy; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and retire the richest man in the south

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.
