History: He was born in a small island village. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: John hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bricklayer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 6 years.
