History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
