History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. History: Born in the north to a Dilettante, Everard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Miner, but he got bored and became a Dilettante. He now owns his own business.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Kyle alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Kyle was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.
