History: Conrad lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Cartwright arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Balimaar was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
