He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He is a Deep Scion in disguise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Barkeep work with an outfit from a few towns over. Barkeep work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Rolf never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
