He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
