History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He's also a talented Fortune-teller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Fortune-teller again.

His attire stands in sharp contrast to his shortbow, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. He has styled his silver hair well, parting it to the left. His hazel eyes peer out from beneath his small white hat.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Richard's homeland. Richard decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To clean up the streets; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: Theodoric lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He worked as a nervous Fortune-teller and found it very stressful. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Thomas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
