History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Reynard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Reynard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
