History: He was raised in a desert tribe. A gifted student he started as a Servant, but he got bored and became a Barber. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Bernard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A freak accident while working with his Mayor father left him crippled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
