History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Carpenter, but he got bored and became a Painter. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Beggar but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Rogue, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Rogue in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
