The war was a terrible time for him, and Miles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Gomory alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by a spirit.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Rolf embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers
