Description: He is a husky man, who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He has a small bristly mustache and wavy red hair. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.
History: Robert was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he dresses well, typically a more casual-formal manner. He wears his black hair up in a very large beehive style do. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his youth he was a Marshal, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and money/treasure

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
