History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Nicholas's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Nicholas has worked very hard to control his curse. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by a spirit.
