His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He tends to his Hunter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Gilbert was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gilbert abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive.
