History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When Anselm reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

He prefers to carry a whip, but if one is not available he will default to his morningstar. His tied-back hair is chestnut. His amber eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born to a Dilettante, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. Randal enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Gifted from a young age, Randal studied abroad. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of goblins
