History: The child of a Sage, who enjoyed hunting, Lance was taken on many hunting expeditions. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has achieved small success as a Soapmaker.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered gnolls who tried to eat his hand. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and a deep hatred of gnolls

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Knight. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Knight responsibilities is difficult; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
