He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Adelard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Barkeep, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barkeep they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Junk Dealer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Jeweler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
