History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Patrick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Adelard was born the youngest of three triplets. A freak accident while working with his Brewer father left him crippled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was born in the south. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Heward never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
