History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
