History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. Adelard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Adelard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: He is a Slave Trader first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Trym hails from a village terrorized by drow. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Trym alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and many drow want him driven away

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Charles was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. Through the years after Charles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Charles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
