History: He comes from a rich southern family. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Roger never married again. Personality: Simon wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Simon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
