History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Bertram isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bertram does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and wishes to resurrect an old love
