His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Guy took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up warhammer and armor he uses now. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Ernest learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
