History: He was born into a rich family. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born into a rich family. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He tends to his Fortune-teller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and sabotage a competitor

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He tends to wear a grey poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. He has a very tight haircut. This amber eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He has a crush on the local Stableman; and a deep hatred of illithids

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He dresses well, wearing brown shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. His auburn hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His fierce blue eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Adelard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
