Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Layabout business.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.

He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His top hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His hazel eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Gerald is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Gerald hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His blonde hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized grey coat. He wears his white hair up. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is obsessed with his god.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and to end his boredom

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears tight fitting clothing which further accentuates his frame. He wears a small hat to cover his moderate length red hair. His blue eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Jocelyn is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Jocelyn lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To unite with his brother.
