Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Thomas is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Jeweler they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He got into the Miller business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miller. He has achieved small success as a Miller.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving He also has developed a complete distrust of the Map Maker profession.

History: Alex was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
