His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He has a blonde handlebar mustache and slicked back blonde hair. His eyes are violet and catlike.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: He was born in the south. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Rolf liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
