This search led him directly into Mason work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mason work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Mason job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Chad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
