History: He got into the Courier business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. After a long history of fighting, John and his spouse have recently divorced.
