History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.
