Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Manfred was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Farmer. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: This malnourished man wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. His moppish white hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His violet eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now owns his own business.

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He tends to wear a large black jacket, marred by sweets. His moppish chestnut hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His brown unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Gunter hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gunter was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.
