His mother taught him the rudiments of the Courier arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to orcs.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Carter. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Born in the south to a Carter, Nicholas learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
