The war was a terrible time for him, and Bertram does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and he is content

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Spy father left him crippled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and money/treasure

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Richard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Mortician and found it very stressful. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
