History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Hubert is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Hubert was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's also a talented Herbalist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new marshal responsibilities is difficult

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
